LLC Owned by IRA

Posted this about 10 days ago. Can anyone help?

I have a rollover IRA account that I want to transfer from one custodian to another. I will be transferring the entire account. One of the existing assets is an interest in oil and gas properties and, unfortunately, the interests are each separately titled in the name of the current custodian FBO my IRA and there are 68 different interests and thus 68 different country recordings involved in the transfer in order to result in all 68 of the interests being titled in the name of the NEW custodian FBO my IRA. This makes the transfer expensive and cumbersome. My question is: Can I form an LLC for the sole purpose of owning these 68 different oil and gas interests and have the LLC be owned by my IRA so that if I ever wanted to change custodians in the future, I could simply transfer ownership of the LLC instead of transferring all 68 interests with 68 different deeds? The owner of the newly formed LLC would be the IRA and not me personally. Does this work and what are some things I should be mindful of if I move forward with this process? Thank you.
