Inherited TSA Rollover
My clients spouse passed away several years ago and as a result, she now owns his 403b retirement account registerd to her as an Inherited TSA. My questions is this, can a Spousal Inherited TSA roll over to a new Spousal Inherited IRA I would create? Or can it be as simple as, because she is his spouse, the Inherited TSA can be rolloved over to a new IRA account in the name of his survivor wife?

Either an inherited or owned IRA can receive the funds by direct rollover. Considerations of her age, the year her spouse would have reached 70.5, whether she needs funds before her own RMDs would begin determine which would be best. If the funds go to an inherited IRA, she can always roll it over to her own IRA at any point that is beneficial.
