403-b RMD must be out of 403b and not IRA after 701/2?

Client has two IRA’s and 1 403b. He will have to start taking his RMD next year and is retired.

a. he has to take his total rmd from the ira’s from either both or just one of them, which I know.

b. but his 403b cannot be counted with his IRA rmd, correct (he must take his rmd from the 403b alone and not counted in with the IRA’s)?

Thankyou
Douglas

Correct, the 403b RMD must be taken from the 403b account without any consideration for the IRA accounts. Note that any 12/31/1986 403b balance is not subject to RMDs until age 75.
