If one has a company sponsored 401k, are there any income limitations to opening a personal Roth IRA additionally as long as your income does not exceed $117,000 (single).

No other income limitations, but it is important to use the correct calculation for determining modified AGI relative to the 117k start of the contribution phaseout.
