inherited inherited IRA rules
Has anyone dealt with a situation whereby the person who inherited an IRA has passed away? What are the distribution rules?

If you are referring to a non spouse beneficiary passing, then the successor beneficiary must continue the RMD schedule of the first beneficiary. They do not get a new stretch. If the original beneficiary was a spouse, please advise because that triggers multiple possibilities.
