Roth Contributions
Quick question – thanks in advance.
If a person retires in April 2017, and has enough earned income to cover a 2017 Roth IRA contribution, I assume they can make that contribution at any time during 2017, even if it is after the retirement date, as long as it is during calendar year 2017.
Correct?

The contribution can be made up until the regular filing deadline for the 2017 tax return, April 17, 2018.
