IRA 1099R Attachment Question

This is probably an odd question, but knowing IRS may have particular concerns about how things are assembled, I’m wondering about this. One of the IRA 1099-R s is not small as all the others I’ve ever seen, it’s a full page 8 ½”x11”—so if attaching it to the front of 1040 it would cover the whole 1040 and be seen before the return.
Is that okay? If so, should I just staple it to the front of the 1040 like the other 1099Rs etc. even though it will cover the whole 1040? Thanks!

You would not attach the 1099R unless it has withholding on it. If it does maybe you can shrink it to a normal size that does not cover much of the 1040.

Thanks! I should have thought of that.
