As I read the relevant provisions, it appears you have a max total benefit of 250k for all annuities in total issued to you individually including accounts of which you are a beneficiary (eg inherited IRA), to your traditional IRA or to your Roth IRA. In other words, no matter how many different annuity contracts you have in various types of accounts, the total limit is 250k, not 250 k for each account.
