Direct Rollover from a foreign Pension Plan
I was referred to someone now a US citizen who came from Peru. He has a Peruvian Pension Plan and was told he can rollover to a US IRA.Is there any basis for this?

No, a Peruvian pension plan cannot be cannot be rolled over to an IRA. The only plans eligible to be rolled over to an IRA are those qualified plans established under Title 26 Section 401, 403, 408, 457 or the federal TSP under Title 5 Subsection III of the US Code.
