May the trustee of a conduit trust distribute the RMD *for* the beneficiary or must the distribution be *to* the beneficiary? For example, if the trustee pays the beneficiary’s rent is that ok, or must the money flow from the trustee directly to the beneficiary (or, presumably, a bank account in the beneficiary’s name)?
