Rollover IRA

Hello,

Client is leaving her employment and has a 401k Plan with them.

Client currently has 3 Rollover IRAs – 1 of which has charities as beneficiaries. The other 2 could be consolidated but client never desired to.

Just wanting to confirm that this old 401k Plan may be rolled into one of the existing Rollover IRAs (one of the 2 she will be doing since the 3rd has charities as beneficiaries and she doesn’t want to add to that one) – and it’s not necessary/there is no reason to establish another Rollover IRA if the beneficiaries are going to be the same as the other 2.

Please advise. Thank you.

Jason

Yes, you are correct. No reason to open yet another rollover IRA account. The 401k can be rolled into either of the two existing rollover IRAs with the desired beneficiary.
