What is IRS Value for converting a Jackson National Flex DB IRA to Roth IRA
When I call Jackson National I never get a straight answer. So here are the hypothetical scenario.
1 million original deposit into contract as an IRA
protected balance 1.2 million (year 7)
clients was originally 56 when took out contract and assume he is now 75b and wants to convert it to Roth IRA.
The contract value is 400,000 at age 75 what would the IRS use to figure out what the amount of tax that is due.
The idea is than after the Roth conversion as long as 1 dollar is left in contract at death the proceeds at death would go back to 1.2 million tax free.
Is there an IRS table to get a rough Idea of what the tax would be?
Thank You
Peter
