Still Working 72 YO – move IRA and 401k to current plan avoid RMD’s?

Client is 72 and still working. His 403b plan allows roll ins. Can he move his IRA’S and 401k to his 403b to avoid taking RMD’s?

Yes, but now that he is 72 he will have to take the RMDs from the accounts he is rolling into the 403b for the year that rollover is done. The RMDs will therefore cease in the following year.  Also, note that any IRA basis cannot be rolled into 403b, but that is fine since the basis can be converted to a Roth IRA once the RMD for that year is completed.
