Rollover from Roth IRA to Designated Roth Account (Roth 401k) Not Allowed ?
It appears that rolling from a Roth IRA to a Designated Roth Account (Roth 401k or Roth 403b) is for some reason not allowable. If anyone could confirm this, that would be helpful. Thank you.

That is correct, a Roth IRA can only be rolled to another Roth IRA, not to any employer plan per IRS Reg 1.408A-10, QA 5. Generally, a Roth IRA has more favorable tax rules for distributions (ordering rules) that do not exist in a Roth 401k, and Roth 401k money is also subject to RMDs at 70.5 unless still working. Therefore, Roth 401k accounts are typically all rolled to a Roth IRA soon after retirement to avoid RMDs.
