Inherited IRA: combined or kept separate

My clients father passed away in Sept 2019. The father had a 457 and 401K with the same employer and with the same custodian. The client has received the 2019 RMDs.

Can both of these accounts be combined into one Inherited IRA or do they need to be kept separate and both go into their own inherited IRA?

Thank you for your help!

They can be combined into one inherited IRA as long as the RMD divisors are the same. They would be the same as long as father was the participant in both those plans (not a beneficiary himself).
