Quit work in Q42019; but unable to find job in 2020

The client left a job in Q4, but has been unable to find work due to coronavirus. Does he qualify as an individual for a CRD?

  • Not quite. Under the expanded CRD eligibility of Notice 2020-50, the following provision appears to require actually finding a new job, which is then delayed  or offer is withdrawn if the person did not lose the prior job due to Covid.
  • ” the individual having a reduction in pay (or self-employment income) due to COVID-19 or having a job offer rescinded or start date for a job delayed due to COVID-19″.
