Back Door Roth Contribution when one Spouse owns an IRA
Can an individual that does not own a Traditional IRA make a back door Roth IRA contribution if their spouse owns an IRA?

The individual must open their own TIRA to make a contribution if there is enough earned income from both spouses. The spouse cannot exceed the 6000 individual contribution limit.
