You cannot gift an IRA to anyone while living. When you pass, they inherit the shares and the value of those shares is included in your gross estate, to which you can apply your unified credit at the time.

Thank you. at you die can kids use estate tax exemption and own roth ira? do they have to distribute in 5 or 10 years? does it grow tax free till that time?Appreciate your input please.
