Federal Tax Calculator (proforma estimator)
Looking for a free online/web based federal tax calculator to get a ballpark figure for potential estimated tax.
I found plenty of one dimensional charts (even here on the Slott website). But I would like a simple web app to run possible conversion numbers to look at potential tax amounts.

If it is just for yourself or one tax return I find a spreadsheet is very easy. You can build the spreadsheet with the person’s regular tax habits and then manipulate the conversion field to stay under the next marginal tax bracket.

I use the above mentioned program and find it easy to use. It is very functional when changing taxable amounts due to Roth conversions.
