Roth Conversion Calculator Recommendation
Is there a recommended software model out there that will allow me to optimize the after tax benefits of future Roth conversions? My wife and I are 65/66 and have a very large combined IRA/401(k) balance. I’ve been retired for 5 years and had decent deferred comp income through 2021 but will only have $100,000/year in future income until SS starts at age 70. Have been planning to do about $200,000+/year of Roth conversions (to take income to top of 24% bracket) until we turn 72 but that won’t really solve our RMD/tax problems. I built an Excel model that factors in living expenses, taxes, Roth conversions, RMDs, etc. but it isn’t as interactive as I would like and doesn’t tax effect the age 90 results. Anyone have a good model they are using? Thanks!

Either Brentmark’s Retirement Plan Analyzer, https://shop.brentmark.com/products/retirement-plan-analyzer, or Excel.
