IRA/Roth IRA in a lawsuit
Just wondering if, in New York, IRAs and Roth IRAs could be included in a lawsuit. For example, if someone sues me for more than my liability coverage, can they go after my IRAs and Roth IRAs? (I am fortunately not in this situation; just wondering what could happen.)
Thanks very much.

NYS provides good creditor protection for both types of IRA accounts. However, there is an exception for amounts contributed after 90 days before the creditor claim.
