Inherited I.R.A. distributions
Are you allowed to take a distribution from your inherited I.R.A that you received in 2020 and do a Roth conversion ?

Only a spousal beneficiary is allowed to convert from an inherited TIRA, but a non spouse can roll an inherited qualified plan to an inherited Roth IRA if they wish. You could also use the inherited IRA distribution to pay the taxes on a conversion of an owned TIRA.
