2022 life expectancy changes on stretch annuities

I am taking stretch payments from an inherited annuity that began in 2018.

Will the insurance company use the new life expectancy table to compute the payment in 2022 on my annuity?

I have read many articles on how this change will effect inherited IRA’s that are using stretch payments, but I have not seen anything if inherited annuities are also subject to this change.

Thanks.

The new tables are required for all IRAs including IRA annuities. They are not required for NQ annuities. You should be able to verify if the insurance company have their systems programmed for the new tables, since this obviously must be done within the next 2 months. Typically, they should at least be working on this by now to be ready in January.  As for NQ annuities, I don’t know why they would want to maintain different tables for them.
