Inherited IRA Calculator with new tables

I read with great interest Ian Berger’s, “Hitting the Reset Button on 2022 RMD’s” and I was wondering, are there currently any websites that can help me recalculate an Inherited IRA RMD using the new tables? Thank you.

Haven’t seen one, but it’s pretty simple once you are sure the original RMDs were determined correctly according to the specific situation. Once you know that, you determine a new initial divisor that would have applied had the new tables applied in the first beneficiary distribution year. You then subtract 1.0 from that divisor for each successive year up to an including 2022 and beyond.  If you have a current specific situation, you could post it here for determination of the new 2022 divisor.

Thanks Alan.  No, I can do them by hand.  Just tedious when you have over 20 Inherited IRA’s under the old Stretch rules and 1 who inherited an Inherited IRA.  Plus it would be nice to be able to doublecheck my work.  If you would run across one in the future, please let me know.

Schwab has a calculator that correctly reflects this change: https://content.schwab.com/ira/understand-iras/ira-calculators/inherited-rmd/
