1099-C for a fraudulent and forgiven credit card debt

In February of 2017, an unauthorized (fraudulent) credit card was opened under our name. Eventually it went to a collection agency which tracked down our correct address, after which we started hearing about this identity theft. In May, June 2018, the claim was resolved in our favor. We did not owe any monies and the credit agencies were notified. Fast forward to this week (3/1/2022). We just received a 1099-C from the credit card company that opened the fraudulent account with:
Box 1: Date of identifiable event 6/29/2021
Box 2: the original purchase price
Box 4: Credit card
Box 5: checked (debtor was personally liable for repayment of debt)
Box 6: Identifiable event code G
Since it’s a 2021 1099-C, I’m not sure how to report this to the government without increasing my taxable income. Any help in this matter will be very much appreciated. Thank you
