IRA OWner Dies – RMD question

I am working with a widow whose 80 husband died in the summer. He had not taken his RMD for 2022 when he died.
We transferred his IRA over to his spouse’s IRA to consolidate and to stop the RMDs. She is 66 years of age.
I know she does not need to take any RMDS in 2023.

HOwever, if old custodian did not withdraw the 2022 RMD do we need to take the RMD from her IRA account?

Yes, his uncompleted 2022 RMD must be distributed this year. It is OK to take it from her owned IRA .
