RMD with spouse as beneficiary
I calculated the RMD on an IRA and there was no difference in the RMD amount with and without the spouse as the primary beneficiary. Client is 72 and spouse is 66. Does that not make a difference anymore?

It never did make a difference unless the sole spousal beneficiary was more than 10 years younger than the owning spouse and the Joint LIfe RMD table applied. That is still the case. The Uniform Table applies to all other owners and the Uniform Table divisors contemplate a joint life expectancy with a beneficiary exactly 10 years younger, whether such beneficiary exists or not. Therefore, RMDs are only lower when there is an actual spousal sole beneficiary more than 10 years younger.
