RMD off by $0.02
If a taxpayer misses their RMD by less than $1, would that be a problem? Taxpayer takes equal distributions throughout the year and somehow ended up $0.02 short. While a distribution can be done to catch up, it would be a pain at this point.

The .02 should be ignored. No way is the IRS going to assess an excess accumulation penalty of .01.
