In-Kind ROTH Conversion?
When converting from a traditional IRA to a Roth IRA, can the conversion be done in-kind (ie mutual funds, stocks, etc.) or must it be done in cash?

Either way, but it is easier to control the exact amount of the conversion with a cash distribution, or at least with an inkind distribution for most of the amount and round it out with cash. Same could be said with respect to RMDs.
