I have a client who passed away in January 2023. He was self-employed and contributed annually to his solo 401k plan after I prepared his tax returns. Can I compute a solo 401k contribution for him on his 2022 self-employment earnings and have his surviving spouse fund the 2022 contribution I compute now?
