Question on 8606 after rollover mistake made
I had posted previously about a mistake I made in 2022 when I rolled a traditional IRA that had a total of $71,000 of which $21,000 was non-deductible basis into an individual 401k at Vanguard. I was never able to get Vanguard to fix the mistake or distribute the $21,000 back to me as they had no procedure to do this. I also contributed an additional $6000 to the traditional IRA in 2022 that was non deductible and then converted it to Roth IRA (backdoor Roth). My last non-dedcuctible contribution was in 2020 so that was that last time I had filed an 8606. I am currently trying to do my 8606 for 2022. My traditional IRA currently has no money in it due to the original $71,000 being rolled over to my individual 401k and the $6000 contribution for 2022 being coverted to a roth IRA. On line 2 of 8606 should I put the $21,000 that was on line 3 of my 2020 8606 or should I put $0 on line 2 since I no longer have any basis in my traditional IRA since the prior was inadvertently rolled into my individual 401k.
Thanks for your help.

Line 14 of your last 8606 prior to 2022 should be carried to line 2 of your 2022 8606.
