Do vesting RSUs count as compensation for IRA contribution eligibility?
If I have $10k RSUs that vest this year, but have no other income, would I be able to make a Roth IRA (or Trad IRA) contribution based on the RSUs alone? I would receive a W-2 for the RSUs with FICA taken out.
Thank you!

Yes, you can make a Roth or TIRA contribution based on the W-2 income.

Wow, that’s great. I assumed they’d be considered deferred compensation since they were granted in a previous year. Very cool. Thank you.
