This report concludes that the ALAR (at least as rapidly) will apply to all EDB eligible minors after reaching the age of majority. Since most minor beneficiaries inherit from a parent passing prior to RBD, such minors should be allowed to terminate their annual RMDs starting in the year after they reach 21 when they become subject to the 10 year rule. But not so if they inherited from a parent passing post RBD.
