IRA distribution rates under 10 year requirement

I can’t seem to locate a chart for following the annual distribution rates under the 10 year rule for a beneficiary.
Did IRS provide a rate, or which table??

  • The single life table is used with the age of the beneficiary in the year following the death of IRA owner with that divisor reduced by 1.0 each year thereafter, although an older beneficiary can use the age of the decedent in the year of death divisor, again reduced by 1.0 each year, as beneficiary RMDs are only due when the owner passed after RBD. This assumes that separate inherited IRA accounts were established by the deadline if there are multiple beneficiaries, otherwise the age of the oldest beneficiary is used.
  • Note that the above annual RMDs in years 1-9 of the 10 year rule will usually leave a larger balance in year 10, and if the beneficiary wants to avoid that they should increase the annual distribution over the RMD.
