Inherited Spouses 401k
We have a clients spouse pass away and our client will be inheriting her 401k. We are looking to r/o the 401k into a spousal inherited IRA. Will our client be able to hold off on taking RMDs until the descendent spouse would have turned 73?
Or are there different rules for this?

If client is the sole beneficiary and maintains an inherited plan (qualified plan or IRA), RMDs do not begin until the deceased spouse would have reached RMD age. That age is determined by decedent’s DOB.
