QCD’s in the Year of Turning 70.5
Is it still true that one must wait until the age of 70.5 (to the day) in order to make a QCD? Or, can you make QCD’s in the year that you turn 70.5, but before the 1/2 birthday?
You answered this in 2016, but making sure that is still the case.

You must wait until 70.5 to the day and those rules have always been the case. Any sooner you cannot report it as a QCD but you could itemize it if you otherwise are itemizing deductions.
