HSA Contributions

A couple of years ago, I became the primary on our health insurance, but we continued to make our HSA contributions to my wife’s HSA since it was easy (opened, etc…).  I’m starting to think I overlooked that.
Should HSA family contributions go into my HSA since I’m the primary insured? Or doesn’t it matter?
