Inherited ROTH IRA, Pre-SECURE ACT, Non-Spouse
Hello – I want to confirm my understanding of the pre-SECURE ACT rules on inheriting a ROTH IRA. A sister passed away in July 2019 and left her other sister – who is just a couple years older – her ROTH IRA. My understanding is that under the pre-SECURE Act rules, the ROTH is subject to the “stretch” provision, and the surviving sister has to take RMDs from the inherited Roth based on the surviving sister’s life expectancy.
I believe I am correct but was hoping to further confirm with the experts.
Thank you!

Yes, you are correct. The 10 year rule does not apply to deaths prior to 2020.
