Have client who wants to convert a portion of his IRA to Roth IRA as he did not make that much money this year due to injury.

• does he have to convert the amount prior to Dec. 31, 2024?
• or can he convert for 2024 up to April 15th, 2025 when tax returns are going to be prepared?
