Non-Deductible IRA Contribution for Canadian Spouse
Facts:
-married couple living in the US, filing a joint tax return
-husband has US earned income
-wife is a Canadian citizen, but has a SS#
Question:
*Can the husband make a non-deductible IRA contribution for the wife?
Bonus Question:
*The wife has earned income in the US (not true at the moment, but may receive a W2 wage in December from the family business) and in Canada for 2024. Can the wife max out BOTH her 401k deferral and her RRSP in 2024?
All guidance is appreciated. Thank you!
