RMD’s from Annuities satisfy RMD’s from IRA
Hi,
I have a client, age 75, with an annuity in a qualified account and an IRA account. He wants to take all his RMDs from the annuity account. I seem to recall that you cannot satisfy the RMD requirement from the IRA with withdrawals from the annuity. Is this correct?
Thanks for the guidance.

If the qualified account is not an IRA, the RMDs must be satisfied separately. If both are IRAs, the RMDs can be aggregated between the two.
