We at the Slott Report would like to wish all our readers and their families a very happy holiday season!

We thank all of you for taking your valuable time to read the Slott Report over the past year. We have heard from many of you and welcome your comments and feedback. Keep it coming!

2017 has been an interesting time for IRAs and other retirement plans. At the Slott Report, we have covered the fate of state-run IRAs, the demise of the MyRA, the “Rothification” debate, and special retirement account relief for hurricane victims. We have also gotten into the details of important topics such as the 60-day rollover rule, the value of Qualified Charitable Distributions, and the details of Roth IRA distributions, just to name a few.

The tax reform debate we have followed closely through most of the past year has now culminated with the President signing legislation on December 22, overhauling the tax code. This can only mean that 2018 promises to be another exciting year. We hope you come along for the ride with us and continue to check in with the Slott Report for the latest retirement account news and information.

Thank you for reading, and we hope you enjoy a happy and healthy holiday and new year!
